What Is Green Energy?

sunshineHi there and welcome. I thought we’d start this blog off with a little talk about what exactly green energy is and what it means to us.

Here’s a definition according to Wikipedia.com

Green energy is the term used to describe sources of energy that are considered to be environmentally friendly and non-polluting, such as geothermal, wind, solar, and hydro. Sometimes nuclear power is also considered a green energy source. Green energy sources are often considered “green” because they are perceived to lower carbon emissions and create less pollution.

For the purpose of this blog, we’ll consider green energy forms of energy we can generate ourselves to both save money and live more environmentally friendly. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be talking about different types of solar panel and how we can install them ourselves, what kind of wind energy capture devices are out there and how we can get those to work to our advantage and so forth.

We (Ray and Susanne), both strongly believe in green energy and look forward to sharing information on anything green and free energy with you.

Take Care,

Susanne
